Xawtv Applet shown in , let you remote control XawTV. To add this applet to a Panel, right-click on the Panel and choose + + + +Panel+ + + + + + ->Add to panel+ + + + + + ->Applet+ + + + + + ->Multimedia+ + + + + + ->Xawtv Applet+ + + + + .
You need a working Xawtv in order to use Xawtv Applet. Just press the buttons to switch channel or change volume. You can use the tooltips to see what the buttons do.
Right-clicking on the applet brings up a menu containing the following items:
Properties opens the Properties dialog.
Help displays this document.
About shows basic information about Xawtv Applet, inluding the applet's version and the author's name.
You can customize Xawtv applet by right-clicking on it and choosing Properties. This will open the Properties dialog(shown in ), which allows you to change various settings.
Xawtv Display: Controls where Xawtv is running.
Display Mode: This sets the apperance of xawtv_applet applet.
Prevent XawTV from displacing the mouse pointer: This controls if xawtv_applet will try to prevent XawTV from messing with the mouse pointer (not need for recent versions of XawTV).
Start Xawtv in fullscreen mode: If this button is checked, XawTV will be started in fullscreen mode.
Show applet button tooltips: If this button is checked, tooltips will be displayed.
Xawtv Command: The command executed to start XawTV.
Look of XawTV every nth-second: If XawTV is not runing, xawtv_applet will query X every Nth second if XawTV has been started. A value of 0 means that this feature is disabled.
Mouse wheel controls: This radiobutton controls what function the mouse-wheel controls.
This applet has no known bugs.
