Outside camera views can be obtained by pressing F3 ,
F4 , and F5 . Pressing F3
multiple times will cycle to the next 'interesting' object.
When you press F3 you should see a similar view as shown
with stats about your aircraft.
- Velocity vector compass, indicates the `xy plane' direction of
your current velocity. If intercepting a waypoint, then that a small
tick will point in the direction of that waypoint on the compass.
- Heading in degrees, specifies the direction your aircraft is facing.
- Elevator trim, fine tunes aircraft pitch angles (not useful with
helicopters). Use keys
HOME and END to adjust it
and CTRL + HOME to re-center.
- Engine state and power output, specifies the current engine power
output and whether the engine is on or off. This may have a slight
delay with the actual throttle position.
- Altitude AGL (above ground level) in feet, specifies how high you are
above the landable ground. This includes mountains, buildings, and
other landable obstructures raised above ground level.
- Rate of climb, the vertical velocity in feet per second.
- Miniature attitude ticks, indicates the attitude (orientation)
of your aircraft.
- Speed in miles per hour.
